When teens are in treatment, a big concern of parents and students is what will happen with the teen’s education. Will they fall behind or fail in school? At Destinations, our teens are not only supported through their recovery, we offer a full educational program. This daily service keeps them on track. We also work with their schools to assure that teens can reintegrate when they return to school.
Our academic program is registered and recognized by the California Department of Education.
The International Academy of Science provides Destinations with the internationally approved Edmentum K-12 A-G curriculum. Moreover, our college-approved Advanced Placement classes make sure college-bound students don’t fall behind while in treatment.

Each student receives three hours daily of educational classwork, five days a week. Our qualified content specialists assist the teen with our Edmentum curriculum, as needed. However, we also give teens the ability for educational growth and reflection on an individual level.
Upon completing the program at Destinations, each teen takes an educational exit exam. This allows for their re-integration into their regular school system. Furthermore, Destinations works directly with the teen’s school to advocate for that teen’s positive re-entry.
