[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Sunday, August 7, Destinations to Recovery partnered with two other local treatment facilities (Engage and Changing Tides Treatment) for our first annual Ventura Beach Clean Up event. Over 100 participants joined together to clean the beach by Ventura’s famed pier. Participants ranged from staff and clients of the treatment centers to locals who wanted to give back to their community. (We even had one canine representative!) We successfully collected 35 bags of trash and worked with the State Park rangers to move 1,000 rocks for the main beach pathway. Everyone was greeted with a commemorative event tee shirt and was thanked at the end of the event with a free smoothie from the Good To Go smoothie truck that came specifically to the event. Destinations to Recovery looks forward to hosting this event every August. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this service event a success!
