Fresh Homemade Croutons

Destinations to Recovery has created this new Chef’s Corner, where parents can find healthy recipes for their hungry teens that are recovering from addiction. Check out this week’s recipe below:

Fresh Homemade Croutons

    Ingredients

  • 1 French baquette
  • 2-3 tbsp garlic puree
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley
  • 1 dash of olive oil

Preparation

Cut the bread into bite sized cubes and place in a large bowl. Clean and chop the parsley. Drizzle the olive oil over the bread, sprinkle garlic puree and chopped parsley over the bread as you gently mix together. Place in oven preheated to 350 degrees for around ten to fifteen minutes. They are done when golden brown. This is an excellent way to dress up a salad in a pinch. You can also experiment with other herbs and spices. Create and enjoy!
